Isabelle Sproule

Isabelle Sproule died peacefully at Vista Village, Pincher Creek on November 22, 2018 at the age of 94.

Isabelle was predeceased by her husband Winston, her infant daughter Shirley and her daughter Donna Bennett-Thibert. Isabelle is survived by her children; Lloyd Sproule (Lisa); Connie Noble (Lyle), Michael Sproule (Bibianne); grandchildren include Vanessa (Chad), Derrick, Lana (Josh), Angie (Rowdy) Sproule; Jacqueline (Jason), Ryan (Trudi), Stefan (Bridget) Bennett; Travis (Vanessa), Jalayne (Cory) Noble; Abigail & Breanna Sproule. Isabelle’s ever-growing brood of great grandchildren include: (Lloyd) Winston, Gus, Bella (Donna) Kennady, Rylan, Gray, Kate, Rome, Jude, Flynn (Connie) Nash, Soula, Laize, Faith, Cole.  Isabelle is also survived by her brother Gerry (Shelley), her sister Marj (Rick) and her sister-in-law Shirley.

Isabelle’s parents were David and Rhea Gillespie and she was born in Suffield, Alberta.  She grew tall and beautiful and happy, with flaming red hair and educated herself to be a teacher. Isabelle married Winston in 1949 and they worked hard and raised their family on their family farm and cattle operation just east of Pincher Creek. Isabelle gave to her community always - whether in the United Church, Legion, Lioness Club, Curling Club or Bridge Club. Anywhere a helping hand was needed, Isabelle was there. Isabelle, or “Gramabelle”, was humble but most proud of her ever-growing family.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday December 3, 2018 at the Pincher Creek Community Hall (287 Canyon Dr), everyone is welcome.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Windy Slopes Health Foundation, P.O. Box 2554, Pincher Creek, AB T0K 1W0
