Joseph Mario Coccoloni beloved husband of the late Rita Coccoloni passed away at the Pincher Creek Health Centre on November 29, 2017 at the age of 88 years. Joe will be sadly missed by his son David Coccoloni and daughter Tracey (Mark Neufeld) Ewing; his granddaughter Taylor Ewing and step-grandchildren Gwen, Treya, Jayden and Corbin. Besides his loving wife of 51 years, Rita, Joe was predeceased by parents Guiseppe and Rose Marie; his brothers and sisters Danny, Frank, Toney, Harry, Esther, Jessie, Nata and Frena. Joe was born in Coleman, Alberta to Guiseppe and Rose Marie Coccoloni in 1929. He was raised in Coleman where he trapped and hunted to help support his family. In 1951 he married his beautiful wife Rita. Joe and Rita moved to Pincher Creek where they raised their family. Joe had spent some years as a coalminer, then began his 45 years as a “Hot Shot” truck driver (Cutch) Trucking. He loved to hike and climbed numerous mountains. Joe was an avid fisherman who built his own signature fly rods and flies. He played the guitar endlessly at home and for anyone who loved to listen to him play. A Memorial Service was held at the Pincher Creek United Church on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 1:00pm with Judith Walker officiating. Memorial donations in Joe’s name may be made directly to the Windy Slopes Health Foundation ((Box 2554, Pincher Creek, T0K 1W0), or to S.T.A.R.S. Air Ambulance (1441 Aviation Park NE, Calgary, AB T2E 8M7).
