Linda Ann Waywood

WAYWOOD, Linda – Devoted Wife, loving Mother, Grandmother and friend to many. Linda passed on July 8th, 2019 in Pincher Creek, Alberta peacefully with family and friends by her side. Linda was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba the daughter of Pauline and George Maitland. Linda attended Churchill high school in Winnipeg and graduated with honors in 1964. Linda met the love of her life Richard in 1968; it was love at first sight and they were married in 1969 in Winnipeg. Richard and Linda moved to Pinawa, Manitoba to support Richards Career and to begin a family. In 1975 Richard and Linda relocated to Pincher Creek with their two young sons Richard Jr. and Ryan.

Richard and Linda had a wonderful marriage of 46 years with two sons and three grandchildren, all of whom brought her joy. Linda is lovingly remembered by her two sons: Richard (Heather) and Ryan; her three grandchildren: Nicholas, Melissa and Madison; as well as numerous friends Pam, Jean and Joyce to only mention a few. Linda was predeceased by her loving husband Richard and parents Pauline and George.

Linda and family would like to extend their deepest thanks to all the nursing staff at Vista Village as well as Rachel that made mom’s last days special and comforting.

 If friends so desire memorial tributes in Linda’s memory may be made to the Jack Ady Cancer Centre (960 19th Street South Lethbridge Alberta T1J 1W5).  Please specify that the donation is to be received by the Jack Ady Cancer Centre.

There will be a Memorial Gathering for Family and Friends at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 11th at Eden’s Funeral Home, Pincher Creek, Alberta.
