Patricia Elizabeth Degenstein

Patricia Degenstein, beloved wife of Mike Degenstein, passed away on April 20, 2019 at the age of 78 years.

With sorrow we announce that our dear wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother has unexpectedly passed away peacefully at the Fort Macleod, Extendicare.

Besides her loving husband Mike of 54 years, she is survived by her 5 children Cindy (Gordon) Doram of Winfield, AB., Jo-Ann Silver of Coaldale, AB., Michael Degenstein of Fort Macleod, AB., Shelley (Mike) Weidenfeld of Cowichan Bay BC., and Tracey Van Hierden of Fort Macleod, AB. She will be missed by her 7 grandchildren Dane (Christine) Doram of Winfield AB., Bobbie-Jo (Bret) Shipton of Grande Prairie AB., Ryan Van Hierden of Fort Macleod, AB., Rick (Nicky) Van Hierden of Stanley Mission SK., Brittany (Ryan) Steele of Fort Macleod, AB., Tiffany Weidenfeld of Langford BC.,  and Tyler Weidenfeld of Cowichan Bay BC., 3 great grandchildren Marie, Lilly and Madison of Grande Prairie AB. Patricia is also survived by her siblings Billy (Darlene) Smith of SK., Glen (Maxine) Smith of Raymond AB., Ken Smith of Claresholm, AB., Donna Smith of Coaldale, AB., Alice Smith of Coalhurst AB., and her 3 nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother Birtha Smith (Oct 24, 1984), her father William Smith (April 20, 1992), son-in-law Rick Van Hierden (January 30, 1996), her brother Mark Smith (April 29, 1996) and her brother-in-law Bert McAdoo (February 4, 2017).

Patricia was born in Fort Macleod, AB and married Mike on April 23, 1965.
