Shawn Blood

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our younger brother Shawn Bradley Blood. Shawn will be joined with his mother Violet Mary Blood, father Lloyd Phillips and daughter Kelsey Bird on the other side. Shawn was the youngest addition to the Bouvier-Blood household, he was greatly loved by all his siblings, Cheryl, Charles Jr., Diane, Karen, Roxanne, Corey, Travis and Laurie.

Shawn was a beautiful baby and won the nurses over with his angelic features, he had a head full of jet black curly hair and the most beautiful essence ever. Everyone just wanted to hold and cuddle him, he was the perfect baby. We all know that Shawn was lent to us by God, we knew that he would want him back soon. All who knew Shawn, fell in love with a gentle soul and genuine authentic man that backed up his truth, Shawn was fearless as he was kind. Shawn would light up a room, with his laugh, his beautiful smile, he always had something to say that made you smile or burst out laughing. Everyone was won over by his  charismatic charm, his sense of humor, his wit and his warm hugs and smiles when he was happy to see you, but you would not want him harassing you or be in his crosshairs, that was a side of Shawn you did not want to awaken.

Shawn had many interests as he had friends and loved ones. His sense of wonder never ceased, for he loved to travel and meet people and make new life time friends who turned into family. He loved the outdoors and going places, he was always off on an adventure or entertaining himself with a concert. He loved his music, his entertaining people with cooking a beautiful meal or going out for dinner. He showed his affection to you by lovingly teasing you and would call you up out of the blue with him telling you that he had been thinking of you. Shawn was always doing something that kept you on your toes, pranks where his speciality, you just never knew what to expect when Shawn was around.

Shawn took pride in his appearance and was always very well groomed and was known for wearing his baseball caps and cologne. We can take comfort in knowing that you are in a good place surrounded by love. Shawn you leave behind a lot of broken hearts but many beautiful memories that will fill our spirits with joy. Everyone has a ‘Shawn’ story and I was told that you will continue to live on in the stories that people share of you. Shawn your name will continue to shine in many of our hearts for a long time to come.You will be our warmth on a cold sunny day that will be our memory of you, and a song in our hearts. We can all think of you and smile warm thoughts, our Shawn shone in our lives.

A wake service will be held beginning at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at White Calf Hall, Stand Off, AB.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at White Calf Hall, Stand Off, AB.
