Agnes Isabella Bell (Dolly) Ofner of Pincher Creek, Alberta passed away peacefully on Feb 16, 2023. Dolly was born in Trail, B.C. and moved to Kingsgate at a young age where her mother went to work at the border crossing and raised their family. Dolly met and married Don Ofner in 1960 and made their home in Kitchner. Their first child Debbie was born in December, 1960 and Roland in August 1962, both in Creston, B.C.
Don’s logging job then took them to Kaslo, B.C. in 1966, and their youngest son Tim was born that October in Kaslo. After many years of logging and having a good life raising their children in Kaslo, the forest industry began slowing down and Don and Dolly moved to Hinton, Alberta in 1986 for work. They made their home there where Don retired and they made many trips to Wyndell, B.C. to enjoy their summers.
Don passed away in December 2017, and due to health reasons Dolly moved to Pincher Creek, Alberta in 2019 where she lived at the Whispering Winds Village.
Dolly is survived by her two sisters Sue Drapaka and Sherrie Stuckey. Her three children Debbie Kisch (Greg Game), Roland (Lorna) Ofner, Tim (Lisa) Ofner. Her granddaughters Sara and Cassie Ofner and her great grandson Karson Ofner.
Dolly was an avid reader who loved to read books, do crafts, collect earrings and bake. She will be greatly missed and remembered for her delicious homemade bread and pies.
Dolly has requested to not have a service, so her family will be celebrating her life’s legacy privately.
