Alexander "Alec" Hart

Alexander (Alec) Orrin Hart was born January 23rd, 1991, in Fort Macleod, Alberta to Bill and Helma (Van den Biggelaar) Hart. Alec passed away on July 26, 2026, at the age of 35 years, in Fort Macleod, Alberta.

He is lovingly remembered and survived by his mother Helma Hart, his older sister Gelein Hart, and younger brother James Hart of Fort Macleod, Alberta. Alec is predeceased by his father, Bill Hart. He is survived by way too many people and has touched and affected many more lives than can be listed.

Alec grew up in Fort Macleod, Alberta and worked for most of his life in the trades, in particular welding being his passion. Alec would always go to bat for those he loved, regardless if they were right or not. In combination with his limitless charisma and that big grin of his, if you weren't his friend, you were about to be. There were many loving friends he shared life's highs and lows with. Whether you remember him as Alec, Alexander, Uncle Alec, Ace, or Big Buddy, we hope that his life, as it did ours, brought you joy.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to honour Alec's memory do so by playing a game of 10,000 with close friends or family.

A celebration of Alec's life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Trinity United Church Hall, 220 - 20th Street, Fort Macleod, AB, to celebrate the memories of Alec that we all hold close.
