Andy Popovic

Andrew Popovic of Fort Macleod, beloved husband of Phyllis Popovic, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at the age of 78 years.

Besides his loving wife Phyllis, Andrew is survived by his daughter Laura Popovic, sons Lyle and David Popovic, brothers Bill Popovic, George Kovh, Mike Kovh and Dan Kovh, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Andrew was predeceased by his parents Ivan Popovic and Marie Kovh.

Andrew was born in Linz, Austria on December 12, 1941. Andrew immigrated to Canada in 1952 and grew up on the west coast in British Columbia. As a young man Andrew had many jobs but settled into the banking business where he worked for 35 years. He was an active member of every community, and he was a part of many organizations such as Kinsmen, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, and Crime Stoppers. He also won numerous awards for bowling and billiards in his younger years. He will be forever missed by all who knew him.

A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
