Arielle Michelle den Hollander

It is with deep sorrow we announce that the Lord has taken out of this life our beloved daughter, granddaughter, niece, and cousin Arielle Michelle den Hollander on July 2, 2026, at the age of 53 days. Arielle passed away in the Stollery Children’s Hospital after 4 open heart surgeries, 4 other heart procedures, 1 abdominal surgery, 6 bronchoscopies, and 50 days on ECMO life support. Her bright eyes and expressive features won over the hearts of many of the nurses, respiratory therapists, and doctors who did absolutely everything they could for her. 

Left to mourn her are her parents Bradley and Leanne den Hollander, as well as her grandparents Rev. Henry and Ada den Hollander, and Bas and Sjanet Mourik, aunts and uncles Dennis and Beth den Hollander, Beverly and Arjan Jansen, Abe and Martina den Hollander, Tim and Roselien den Hollander, Lisa and Pieter Jansen, Lori den Hollander, Rosy and André Jansen, Chris and Connie Mourik, Carolien and Willard Vande Bruinhorst, Annemieke and Brad Howe, Joliek and Gideon Stoutjesdyk, John and Kate Mourik, Suzanne and Jaden Both, Lisa Mourik, Bas Mourik and Courtney Dunsbergen; and many cousins. 

Arielle is survived by her great-grandparents Claire den Hollander (New Jersey), Cornelius VanderStad (New Jersey), Johan and Christina van de Bruinhorst (Netherlands).

She was predeceased by her great-grandparents Jacob den Hollander, Shirley VanderStad, Chris and Netta Mourik, and cousin Kinsey Both.
