Barbara Blackmer

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara at the age of 92.

Barbara passed away peacefully with family at her side at Vista Village on Aug 24, 2022. She was born Jan 1, 1930 in Balgoine Sask one of 12. Barbara will be remembered by, daughter Brenda Lewis, her son Rick Blackmer, her daughter Tracey (Darren) Dixon. Grandchildren; Jason and Xenia Blackmer, Kendra and Jason Swatzky, Kayden Aker Cassidy Aker and Zac Fedorak, Great- Grandchildren; James and Nathan Blackmer, Gibson and Miley Swatzky and extended Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Lorne Blackmer, Her parents, 1 sister, 5 brothers and a son-in-law Pat Reed. She will be sadly missed by anyone who knows her kind soul. She was devoted to her family and she loved to garden and her flowers. The family would like to thank caring staff at Crestview Lodge and Vista Village.

A Memorial Service was held at Creekside Community Church on Tuesday, Aug 30, 2022, at 1:00 PM.
