Carol Anne Widmer

Carol Anne Widmer (Pinske) peacefully left this earth while surrounded by family on   January 7, 2022 to be with her heavenly father and family gone before her.

Carol was born Dec. 15, 1949 to Herbert and Margaret Pinske.  She was predeceased by her older sister Patricia, younger brother Bryan as well as both parents.  Her legacy lives on through her son Aaron (Cathy) Widmer, daughter Pamela (Darcy) Kerr, grandsons Brayden (Makayla), Joshua, Kevin, Trevor, and great grandson Maverick.

Carol was born and raised in Fort Macleod, where she married Howard Widmer, and worked at the Courthouse for years before moving to Coaldale to raise their family.  She worked at the Coaldale Post Office from June 1988 until her retirement on January 1st, 2013.  She was well known for her welcoming smile that could light up a room and warm personality that showed through her customer service.

Carol loved camping in her early years with her family and later on enjoyed picnics, trips and drives in the mountains with friends and family.  She loved crafts, scrapbooking and was a member of the Red Hat Society for a period of time.  But most of all mom loved spending time with her family, cooking meals and playing games around the table.

Mom loved unconditionally, forgave quickly, and listened without judgement.  She will be dearly missed by her family, and those who knew her.
