Cindy “Spirit Helper” English

January 20, 1959 – March 18, 2025

It is with heavy hearts and much love that we announce the passing of our mom Cindy “Spirit Helper” English longtime resident of Fort Macleod, Alberta, at the age of 66 years. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Fort Macleod Health Centre, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.

Mom is survived and sadly missed by her children: Scott Tewes, Jennifer Tewes (Wendell Mercredi), and Walker English (Teina Taitapanui); her siblings: Elsie Gerk, Annie Gerk, Mike (Pat) Halerewich, Joe (Agnes) Halerewich, Helen Shoemaker (Mel Massini), Johnny Halerewich, and Shirley Spence; as well as her mother-in-law Louise English; brothers and sisters-in-law: Patricia, Wendy, Homer, Loretta, Virginia, Frank, Ruby, Terry, Delores, Brian, and Marvin; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Mom is now reunited with her late husband George Steve English; her parents John and Emily Halerewich; siblings: Nestor Halerewich, Oresia Halerewich, Rosie Lega, and Corinne McKenzie; and many other special family members and friends.

A private celebration of mom’s life has taken place on Monday, March 24, 2025.
