Cornelis Lindenaar of Pincher Creek, beloved husband of the late Christina Lindenaar, passed away at the Good Samaritan Vista Village, on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at the age of 82 years.
Cor will be greatly missed by his children Christina McClain, Ronald (Nancy) Lindenaar, Martin Lindenaar, Andy (Petra) Lindenaar, Connie (Larry) Agnew; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife Christina; son Henry and son-in-law Ken McClain.
Cor was born and raised in Amsterdam. He immigrated to Canada in 1966 with his wife and his children. It was the love of the mountains that brought him and his family to the Pincher Creek area, and where he continued to grow his career with the oil and gas industry.
Cor always had a joke to share. He was known for his cribbage skills, his mastery of crossword puzzles, and his love of soccer but his best days were Sundays, with the kids, cheering on the Seattle Seahawks.
There will be no service held as per his request.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Vista Village, 1240 Ken Thornton Blvd, Pincher Creek, AB T0K 1W0, in memory of Cor.
