TALLMAN, Crystal Angeline “Mouse” Tallman (CAT) July 20, 1980 - March 12, 2022 - 41 Yrs
It is with great sadness that the family announce the sudden passing of Crystal Angeline Tallman of the Blood Reserve, on March 12, 2022 at the age of 41 years. She was born July 20, 1980 in Calgary, AB to Toni Elizabeth Good Eagle (Siksika) and her father, the late Clement Tallman. Children: Ty (Imajyn), Zachery, Serenity (Peanut), Ianna (Princess), Kasey (Ms Bean, Ms Wong). Her brothers and guardians: Chad (Christine), Byron (Raina); Sister: Melba Marie; Brothers: Scott (Carlie); nieces and nephews: Elijah, Claire, Larayah, Savannah, TayShaun, Santana, Sage, Baby Byron, Odin, Indigo; God Parents: Bernadine and Jerome Tallman. Crystal was a beloved mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt and friend.
Crystal grew up on the Blood Reserve, where she attended Standoff elementary school, later moving to Calgary to attend Bishop McNally high school and Plains Indian Cultural Survival School (PICSS). As an adult Crystal attended Mount Royal, took the aboriginal education program and finished her high school. She also finished the Treaty 7 carpentry program. Crystal was attending Bow Valley College as a third year student expecting to graduate addictions studies aboriginal focus in the spring of 2023. The program chair said that Crystal was very motivated to complete the program and her instructors and classmates will miss her dearly.
Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many good friends. Crystal’s laughter was contagious; she was amazingly kind and caring to all that knew her. Her children were the love of her life and every time she would speak about her children pure joy and love would radiate from her. Crystal was a compassionate person who loved to make others smile. Crystal loved family, and enjoyed laughing and telling stories. She had incredible interior decorating skills and with twenty dollars she could make a dull room look breathtaking. This spoke to Crystal’s beautiful spirit and energy that she shared with all that knew her. She was so caring, funny, outgoing, and she left this world far too soon.
Crystal’s family included numerous brothers and sisters: Vanessa, Juanita, Jessica, Heidi, Mitchell, Jeffrey, Dorothy, Amanda, Carmen; Many adopted brothers and sisters; Adopted grandparents, Betty Poor Eagle, Betty and Yum Mills; Extended Families: CropEaredWolfs, Healy’s, Mills, Wadsworth, Weasel Fat, Big Snake, Crane, Meguinis, Jerry, Heavy Shields; Crystal is preceded in death by her father, Clement Tallman; Grandparents, Bernard and Rita Tallman, Audrey Big Snake, Leonard Crane; Aunties, Stella Tallman; Uncles, Bernard Jr Tallman, Derek Tallman, Lindy Crane.
Crystal was related and adopted by many families within Treaty 7.
A Wake Service will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022, at Toni Good Eagle’s residence on Siksika Nation (South Camp), Alberta at 3:00 P.M.
A Wake Service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at White Calf Hall in Stand Off, Alberta from 4:00 P.M. – 11:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at White Calf Hall in Stand Off, Alberta at 11:00 A.M. Followed by a Graveside Service at the Tallman Family Plot on the Blood Tribe.
