Ethel Asuchak passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024, at the Chinook Regional Hospital, following a short illness.
Ethel was born on May 9, 1930, in Fort Macleod, Alberta. She was a favoured school teacher there for many years and was well known for the many drama productions she put on with her students over the years.
Ethel’s journey on this earth was one marked by love and compassion. She was completely selfless and generous to all. Those who knew Ethel will remember her love and loyalty to the farm, her family and all her animals. In later years, Ethel enjoyed her coffee outings with her close friends.
Ethel is survived by her sister, Margaret Rohovie and brothers, Joe, Jim and John Asuchak and sisters-in-law, Judy, Lynn, Joyce, Colleen, Donalda and Dorothy Asuchak. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and long-time friends. She loved them all and touched their lives in so many ways. She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Ethel was predeceased by her parents, Ethel and Vasile Asuchak and brothers, Les, George, Mike and Bobby.
At Ethel’s request, there will be no funeral service. Flowers are gratefully declined.
