Eva Alice (Crawford) Campbell

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eva Alice Campbell, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world on October 11, 2025, at the age of 86 years. 

Eva was born on July 29, 1939, in Olds, Alberta to James and Margaret Crawford. When she was just two years old, the family moved to Pincher Creek, which became her lifelong home. After completing her education at the Holy Cross Hospital School of Nursing in 1960, Eva began a fulfilling career as a nurse, during which she dedicated most of her professional life to serving her community at the Associate Medical Clinic in Pincher Creek.

In her personal life, Eva was a pillar of strength and love for her family. Eva was preceded in death by her first husband Max Campbell, and her second husband Eldred Lowe, both of whom she shared many wonderful years with. Eva was also predeceased by her brother Lynn (Barb) Crawford and sister Mary (Ken) Williams. She is survived by her children, Barry Campbell, Jim Campbell, and Cheryl (Greg) Tarr. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Lauren Tarr and Haylee Tarr, who brought her immense joy and pride.

Eva's nurturing spirit extended beyond her family. She was an active member of the United Church congregation and choir. Her involvement in the Order of the Eastern Star reflected her commitment to community and service. Eva also dedicated her time as a volunteer at Vista Village and through the Meals on Wheels program, ensuring that those around her felt cared for and remembered.

Eva had many joys in life. She loved to cook and could always be counted on to bake pies or squares for any occasion. She was happiest in life when surrounded by her family, her dogs, and the peaceful setting of the family cabin at Beauvais Lake.

Eva Alice Campbell's spirit will forever shine brightly in the lives she touched. May she rest in peace, knowing she made the world a better place. A service to celebrate Eva's life will be held at a later date. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Eva’s memory to the Pincher Creek Humane Society or the Windy Slopes Foundation.
