In Loving Memory of Brian Clayton
Brian Clayton, born on January 24, 1949, in Toronto, Ontario, to William and Olive Clayton, left this world on March 29, 2024, leaving behind a life of cherished memories. Brian is survived by his daughters Dawn Clayton, Tracy Roy, and Lindsay Sinclair, who will always remember his caring nature and ability to bring fun to every occasion. His grandchildren Will, Erin, Sawyer, Blake, Jessie, Ty, and Juno will hold dear his playful spirit and fondness for outdoor adventures.
Growing up in the heart of Ontario, Brian's journey led him to British Columbia in 1981, where he and Susan Clayton nurtured their family, raising three beautiful daughters. Later in life, he moved to Fort Macleod, Alberta, where he embraced each day with enthusiasm and love for his friends until he peacefully departed on March 29, 2024.
Brian's passion for golfing, fishing, and exploring the great outdoors was infectious. Whether casting lines on serene lakes and rivers or hiking local trails, he found joy in every moment surrounded by nature. His zest for life extended beyond leisure; he dedicated his time to volunteering in the community, leaving a lasting impact on those around him.
Brian was a dreamer, living life on his terms, fearlessly venturing into new endeavours and embracing every opportunity with an open heart. His love for his children, grandchildren, and siblings, Lynn, Bill, Lorraine, and Kathy, illuminated his path.
Brian Clayton will be remembered for his love for his family, the outdoors, acts of service, and cherished friendships. As we say goodbye to our dad, grandpa, brother, and friend, we find solace in the countless memories he leaves behind. Though he may be physically absent, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Fort Macleod Library, in honour of Brian's legacy of compassion and helping others.
A celebration of Brian's life will be held on April 20, 2024, from 1-3 pm at the Fort Macleod Library. Join us as his friends and family gather to honour his memory and share stories. May he rest easy, knowing he was loved and will be missed.
