Gerald Ronald Lewis
March 12, 1939 – June 8, 2023
Gerald Lewis, beloved husband of Marlene, passed away suddenly on June 8, 2023 at Heritage Acres.
Gerald was born in Pincher Creek, the third of four sons to Ronald and Mary Lewis. He attended a one room school at Summerview. He responded to the gospel in 1952 and remained true to his choice. In 1961 he married his dear wife, Marlene Jordan, of Rimbey, Alberta. Together they operated a mixed farm for many years in the Summerview District north of Pincher Creek.
Gerald is survived by his loving wife Marlene, his six children: Geralyn and Ken Nichols, Joan and Stephen Paddison, Murray and Laura Lewis, Sheldon and Larissa Lewis, Shauna and John Botwood and Rosanne and Stuart Shiell. He was pre-deceased by three grandchildren, Tyler and Silka Nichols and Courtney Lewis. He is lovingly remembered by his 16 grandchildren; Kassaundra, Cooper, Briley (Logan), Yari, Kade, Saffron, Brant (Renita), Erica (Daryl), Kyla (Kevin), Stuart (Rebecca), Scott (Jade), Reid, Brett, Zoë, Aydin, Gemma and 10 great-grandchildren.
Gerald is also survived by his three brothers: Ken and Dorothy, Harold and Kathy and Delbert and Penny, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A Funeral Service was held on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 2:00 PM, at the Pincher Creek Community Hall. Following the Funeral Service Gerald was laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Pincher Creek.
