Gerda Trojan

Mrs. Gerda Trojan of Fort Macleod, AB, beloved wife of the Late Mr. Michael Trojan, passed away peacefully at Fort Macleod Extendicare on Thursday, July 20th, 2023, at the age of 92 years. 

Gerda will be lovingly missed by her granddaughter Chelsea (Corey Segboer) Donaldson, and her great grandchildren: Cian, Carter, Cole, and Charley. She was predeceased by her daughter Laurie in May, 2013. 

Gerda immigrated to Canada with her husband and a young toddler in tow in search of a different life in the 1950’s. They settled in Southern Alberta where she eventually worked for many years at Hodnett’s IDA Pharmacy up to retirement. For all who knew Gerda, she loved travelling, gardening, spending time at the cabin or with her close friends quilting or playing bridge. Her kindness and love of dogs and animals will always be remembered. 

Gerda loved to spend time in her gardens, and as such an outdoor Celebration of Life was held in her honour on Thursday, August 3rd, 2023, at 255-18th Street, Fort Macleod, AB, from 4:00-6:00 pm.
