Abbey passed away suddenly on August 5, 2023, at her home in Fort Macleod, AB at the age of 24.
Abbey was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, at Chinook Regional Hospital on December 13, 1998, to Melodie Bastien and the late Charles Twigg. Abbey has 3 beautiful boys, Giannis, Adonis and Atreus
She is survived by Zachary Tracyn Bottle-Healy; her mother, Melodie Bastien; grandmothers, Caroline YellowHorn, Anne Healy (Rod), Karen Wadsworth; brothers, Chad (Kelly), Tyreese, Derek, Jamie , Brandon “Bear”, Evander, Tabor, the late Ricky “Tiny”; sisters, Shauna (Phirum) and Isabelle; nieces and nephews, Josie, Naima, Kalli, Raelynn, Mary, Ava, Jerzee, Lauren JR, Cobain, Ricki, Axl, Charlie, Alexander, Marley, Dexter; aunties and uncles, Erwin (Cathy), Blandine, Babette, Elsie, Linda (Willard), Brian B, Brian Y, Cochise, Joe, Alvin, Lenora, Charlotte, Geraldine, Bernadette, Carolyn, Roxanne, Annette, Wayne (Tiffany), Clayton, Cory; and all her extended ceremony family the Thunder pipe holders and Brave Dogs.
Abbey had so many close cousins and friends throughout her life. Abbey lived in Lethbridge for the beginning of her life, up until she moved to Fort Macleod and attended WA Day elementary, and then moved to Brocket out south in the old log house to attend St. Mike’s and Matthew
Halton. She stayed in Brocket townsite with her mother, she then lived in Fort Macleod with her fiancé and sons when she passed, she loved her family and was always curious of what people were doing, she would always dream of the future and the many things she would do, she would wrestle with her brothers and father, her father loved to dote on her and drew many pictures of her, her brothers would tease her mercilessly and her little sister wanted to be just like her, her boys loved to be with their mother, her boys were her life, Tracyn and her loved to take selfies, dress the boys up and play outside, she loved to take her nephew JR as her first baby, she loved hanging out with her best friends, Jordynn, Naddi and Brandon and they always went cruising, doing make up together or sitting up talking for hours, many heart to hearts.
A Wake Service was held at the Eden's Funeral Home, 2525 5 Ave, Fort Macleod, on Friday, August 11, 2023, from 6:00 until 10:00 PM.
A Funeral Service was held at the Multipurpose Building, Piikani Nation, on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 1:00 PM.
Following the Funeral Service, Abbey was laid to rest at a family plot.
