Mrs. Inge Ludewig of Pincher Creek, beloved wife of the late Mr. Walter Ludewig, passed away at home on Monday, June 29, 2020, at the age of 90 years.
She was born on April 18, 1930, at Zielona, Vellinia province Ease Poland, then moved to Central Posen, went to middle school in 1945 and they moved to Settmars Hausen (north Germany). Inge became a seamstress, she met Walter and they married on June 1, 1952. Their family immigrated to Pincher Creek and worked on Beet farms. They then moved to Lethbridge where Inge worked as a seamstress and acquired the farm in Pincher Creek in 1959. Charles was born in 1960. Inge worked in various businesses in Pincher Creek such as Diamond Cleaners, Boytinks, Co-op, Creamery, and Tiger Brand, as well as with Walter on the Farm where she resided there until her passing on June 29, 2020.
Inge is survived by her son Charles; brother Waldemar (Valentine) Gartke and their sons John, Timothy and families.
Besides her loving husband Walter who passed away on March 23, 1989. Inge was predeceased by her parents Rudolph and Munda Gartke, and numerous cousins.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00pm, on Saturday, July 4, 2020, at the Lutheran Cemetery, Pincher Creek, Alberta, with Pastor Richard Brown officiating.
