Jacqueline Kilsdonk Obituary

On Tuesday, February 13, 2024, Jacqueline Kilsdonk died peacefully at the Good Samaritan Visa Village in Pincher Creek at the age of 90 years surrounded by loved ones. Born in Timmins, Ontario on October 20, 1933.

Jacqueline had six children: Patricia, Brian, Brenda, Susan, Richard, and Derek.  Their family lived in various places throughout Canada.

Jacqueline found joy in life’s simple pleasures, she enjoyed fishing, ceramics, knitting, crocheting as well as various other crafts. She was an avid bowler.

Jacqueline’s neighbours became an integral part of her small social circle, enjoying coffee visits, craft sales, and the occasional lunch date.   She always had a craft, crochet or knitting project on the go.  Everyone enjoyed her hallway displays.

A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Jacqueline enjoyed visits from her family and dressing up to go out to lunch with them.   She was proud of all their accomplishments, she happily attended functions including graduations, birthdays, weddings, etc.   Christmas was one of her favourite holidays and she had many beautiful Vintage Christmas things collected throughout her life.

Jacqueline is survived by her sons Brian Green (Marcia) Port Alberni, B.C. Richard Green (Pam) Wetaskiwin, Alberta; Derek Green (Janice) Edmonton, Alberta; daughters Patricia (Neil) Ottawa, Ontario; Susan (John) Fernie B.C.; Eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her mother Alice, brothers Armond and Albert, Sister Aleinne, and daughter Brenda.

Jacqueline’s smile and the life of the party will be forever remembered by all who shared in her life.

Special thanks to Pincher Creek Good Samaritan Vista Village staff for their care. You are all the greatest. Your warmth and caring towards Jacqueline were much appreciated while she lived there.

As Jacqueline wished, there will not be a funeral.  The family will grieve and celebrate her life privately and a family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
