Joanne Watson, 50, passed away peacefully surrounded by people she loved and cared for on July 22, 2025. Born on March 10, 1975.
She was predeceased by her mother Linda Watson and sister Lana Watson. She is survived by her stepfather Gary Watson and family. Along with her adopted sister Re-Anne Butler and 2 nephews she adored.
Joanne touched the lives of many with her profound sense of humor, warmth, creativity, curiosity, outgoing nature and gave the best hugs. Joanne was a generous friend and possessed an uncanny ability to connect to just about anyone. She had a rare gift of building community and new friends wherever she found herself. She greeted everyone she encountered with the biggest smile.
Joanne moved to Lethbridge in December 2014 along with her sister Lana, to live in their new home with supports from Quest Support Services. Here, both girls social lives thrived and found many new friends, genuine connections and fun new experiences.
Joanne’s cherished memories were seeing Back Street Boys Live in concert. She loved all the boy bands alongside Justin Bieber's early years. Joanne was loved my many and we invite you to join us, as friends and family for a celebration of life which will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Eden’s Funeral Home, 2424 Fifth Ave., Fort Macleod.
