June Marie LaGrandeur of Pincher Creek beloved wife of the late Edward James (Jim) LaGrandeur passed away peacefully on August 02/2020 at the age of 82 years.

June is survived by her daughter Jaime LaGrandeur of Cortes Island, BC, three sons Terrance Michael LaGrandeur of Pincher Creek, AB, Barry John LaGrandeur & Ashley Huriet of Dollard, SK and Jerry Daniel LaGrandeur of Pincher Creek, AB, Grandchildren Dana Cronkhite, Luke Spencer, Sancho Spencer, Saylor LaGrandeur (Dylan Albert), Michael LaGrandeur, Richard LaGrandeur, Janelle LaGrandeur, and Shandelle LaGrandeur as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.

Beside her loving husband June was predeceased by her parents Elmer and Hilda McNellis, and Myrtle and Walter LaGrandeur and Grandson Nicholas James LaGrandeur.

June was born at the Grace Hospital in Calgary, AB, June 7, 1938. She spent her early years between the farm and town, attending and graduating from St. Michael's School until marrying her sweetheart, Jim LaGrandeur in 1956.After her first son was born she moved to Sylvan Lake and eventually Red Deer before embarking overseas with her husband and young family in 1970. From there she had many new adventures, created lifelong friendships, and made loving homes for her family when they lived in Algeria, Spain, Netherlands and Scotland before returning back to Pincher Creek to be closer to family and friends in 1977. Her life was enriched by her travels and she felt blessed for her diverse experiences. June dedicated her life to her family and church first and foremost. She was a kind, devoted and compassionate wife and mother. She forged strong and enduring relationships with each of her children and was definitely the hub of the family bond. June dedicated her life to her church and community. She served many years in the Catholic Women's League and volunteered countless of hours for her church in many roles. Her unwavering faith and spiritual devotion carried her through both the joys and hardships of life. June will also be remembered for her quick wit and humour and her ability to evoke some deep laughter from a good joke or two. She was present for both the laughter and tears. She was generous of her time, spirit and wise council. If there was ever a Calgary Flames fan, it was June! Without a doubt, she died with a smile in her heart, knowing the Flames won the last game she saw. Way to Go June, making your final exit with style and grace during uncertain times. Rest in Peace.
