Ken Paulson passed away on December 16, 2019 at the age of 86 years.
Ken Paulson was born in Mozart, SK during the depths of the Depression.
He showed early signs of unusual academic ability. With the support of his teachers and his siblings and his own efforts (including working the midnight shift as a telegrapher while being a fulltime student during the day) he achieved a BSc, MSc and PhD which led to a career as a Physics Professor at the University of Saskatchewan.
Ken married Pat Thompson, a nurse, and they had one child, Marcus Bjorn. Both Pat and Marc predeceased him.
When Ken retired, he took a tour of Alberta and SE B.C. trying to decide where to live. He eventually chose Pincher Creek where he lived for the rest of his life until moving to Extendicare in Fort Macleod. He is lovingly remembered by his dear friend, Isabelle Henderson, his neighbours Deb and Darrell Domier and six nieces and a nephew. They would like to thank the staff at Extendicare for their kindness and caring during his final year.
Ken's ashes will be mixed with those of his son Marc and scattered at a ceremony during the summer of 2020.
