Laurie was born March 22, 1938 to Robert (Bob) and Eugene (Gene) Doherty. Laurie had three brothers George, Ev and Ken. She took great joy in following her kids to all of their sporting events helping out however she could. Nursing was very important to her. She enjoyed the challenge of the Emergency Room. Laurie became the head of the Operating Room until she retired. Laurie loved to travel and she and Ted went to Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia and spent time in Arizona for many winters.
Laurie was pre-deceased by her loving husband Ted, parents Bob and Gene, brother-in-laws Pat, Mick, Reg and father and mother-in-law Hugh and Betty.
