Margaret Keer Obituary

Margaret Keer Beloved wife of the late Ronald Keer, Passed away peacefully on May 9 2018 at the age of 85 at her home in Whispering Winds. Margaret is lovingly remembered by her children Val (Cam), Linda (Terry), Tim (Denise), Mike (Sheila) and their families Margaret is also survived by her siblings    Ann (Slim), Peter (Joan), Phil (Linda), Roger (Velma) and all their families.

Margaret was born in Pincher Creek on December 19, 1932. She returned back to England shortly after along with her parents Phil and Gertrude. They returned back to Canada in 1947 with 4 others in tow. They all resided in a homestead down by the old man river. After the passing of Gertrude they moved into Pincher Creek.

Ron and Margaret were married on August 29, 1956 at her father’s house and then lived in a trailer beside Phil’s house. Mom & dad moved into the house on Main Street in 1959 and lived there for 57 years.

Margaret was involved in many activities in town like the Rebekah’s, red hat society, the rose society and the Stamp club.  She became a life member of the legion Ladies auxiliary and she enjoyed going to the legion, playing crib and playing whist. Besides all of these activities she was much like her father and enjoyed spending time in her garden, along with watching the birds while doing knitting and crocheting.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Royal Canadian Legion – 691 Main St., Pincher Creek, AB.
