Marguerite “Marg” Gilmore
August 30, 1946 – April 23, 2025
It is with great sadness that the family of Marg Gilmore announce her passing on April 23, 2025.
Marg was born on August 30, 1946, in Bengough, SK to Arthur and Mary Alllsopp. She grew up alongside her siblings Michael Allsopp, Marlene Jensen, and Rita Nhyus, sharing a childhood filled with laughter and close family bonds.
Marg’s greatest joy was her family. She was the beloved wife of Joe Gilmore and a devoted mother to Michelle (Travis) Scott, Trevor (Kris) Gilmore, and Todd (Nhien) Gilmore. She cherished her role as grandma to Joelle Scott, Wyatt (Jess) Scott, Carly Gilmore, Thomas (Tyra) Gilmore, Nicholas Gilmore, Benjamin (Samantha) Gilmore and Joseph Gilmore; and delighted in every moment with great-grandson Henry Thomas Joseph Gilmore.
She is also survived by nieces and nephews too numerous to name.
Marg was predeceased by her parents; her brothers-in-law Doug and Stan; niece, Danette Jensen; and nephew, Mark Nyhus.
Beyond her family, Marg was renowned for her immaculate garden and beautifully tended yard—places where she found peace and joy. Her love of flowers and vegetables transformed her outdoor spaces into vibrant, welcoming sanctuaries for all who visited.
Marg will be remembered for her kindness, her devotion to loved ones, and her unwavering pride in home and family. Always welcoming loved ones from near and far with open arms.
