Neal Lindsey Atwood

With full hearts and deep love, our family announces the peaceful passing of Neal Atwood, at the age of 81. Neal left this life the way he lived it—quietly, faithfully, and surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in Cranbrook, British Columbia, Neal spent most of his life in BC, with cherished years living in Utah before retiring in Fort MacLeod, Alberta. A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Neal’s faith guided every aspect of his life. He served willingly, loved sincerely, and lived with unwavering trust in the Lord.

Neal will always be remembered for his hard work, wonderful sense of humor, spiritual strength, and deep devotion to his family. He loved music and in his younger years shared his talent playing both the drums and trumpet, bringing rhythm, joy, and warmth wherever he went.

Neal leaves behind his loving wife of 62 years, Donna, and his children: Robin (Leah), Peggy, Jason (Jen), Shaun (Gerri-Jo), Nathan (Dana), Jen (Greg), Orlon James (Kelli-Jo) and Brady (Shannon) . He was a proud grandfather to 27 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of his legacy forward.

He is lovingly reunited with his daughter Tami Lee, his brother Orlon Grant, his parents, and many other cherished loved ones who passed before him.

Though we will miss him dearly, his influence, love, and laughter will remain with us always.

A viewing for Neal will be held on Friday, 9th of January at 10am with a service to follow at 11am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Fort Macleod
