Neil Everill Cofell of Pincher Creek, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2022 at the age of 64 years at the Pincher Creek Hospital surrounded in love.
Neil was born in Vulcan, AB , the youngest of 3 children, to Frances and Dean Cofell. Neil was predeceased by his son in law Jason Racz and his father Dean Cofell. Besides his loving wife Brenda nee Bruder, he is survived by his daughters Bailey (Joel) Racz and Lisa Rafiange, 8 grandchildren, his mother Fran, siblings; sister Louise (Greg) Forsyth, and brother Ross Cofell, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Neil had his formal education at Coaldale and Lethbridge, Alberta and went on to receive his journeyman Carpenters diploma from LCC. Neil was an excellent Carpenter as many who remember his work can attest to. He prided himself on a job well done and always showed up when he said he was going to. He also enjoyed being a cowboy, and hunting with his friends over the years. In latter years he invented a stirrup making tool and supplied many local cowboys with custom stirrups. His last favourite project was building bass guitars for his friends and family.
Neil loved to cook on an open fire and many great meals were shared with neighbours and friends. Neil was a loving husband, friend, father, uncle and grandfather. He treasured all of his grandchildren.
In his own quiet way he touched many hearts and will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the campground.
