Nellie de Kok of Fort Macleod, beloved wife of Andy de Kok, passed away on January 1, 2021 at the age of 88 years.
Besides her loving husband Andy, Nellie will be sadly missed by her loving daughters Nelleke (James) Kreft, Janet (Gerrit) Van Hierden and Andrea (Peter) Feyter; 17 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren; sisters Janny (Marinus) Indenbosch, and Mattie (John) Vanee, brother-in-law Kees de Kok, sisters-in-law Kaatje Neels and Neeltje Neels as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Nellie was predeceased by her parents Dingenis and Stoffelina Van Sluys, son Andrew, grandson Adrian Kreft, brothers John, Pete and Andy, and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Nellie was born in s'Heerenhoek, The Netherlands, and married Andy soon after coming to Canada in 1951. The family spent 15 happy years together in Nanton, and since 1967 have resided in the Fort Macleod area. In 2015 Andy and Nellie retired to the Bethesda Care Home in Picture Butte. She made a special effort to make a happy home for her husband, children and grandchildren. Everyone of her family was important; grandchildren and great grandchildren had a special place in her heart.
A Private Family Graveside will be held at Union Cemetery on Thursday, January 7, 2021 with Reverend H.D. den Hollander officiating.
