Robert "Barry" Welsh

Robert “Barry” Welsh, beloved husband of Cindy Welsh, passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer on Friday, September 27, 2024, at the age of 73 years. Barry is survived by Cindy, his loving wife of 53 years, his son Rob Welsh and his children Brady (Madi) and great granddaughter Payden, Jordy, and Kody; Christy (B.J.) Boot and their children Josh (Savanna), Ali (Matt), Tanner, Nikki, Jaxson (Bella), and Nathan. He is also survived by his sister Barbara (Trev)Norlin and many nieces and nephews and their families; and his sister-in-law Lynda (Werner) Skene.

Barry was born in Lethbridge at the Galt Hospital on February 18, 1951. He lived around Kipp, Alberta, until their family bought the “Johnson” Farm when he was seven years old. Barry spent the rest of his entire life on the farm.

Barry loved his family and friends and always knew exactly what to say to make everyone laugh. He never let the truth stand in the way of a good story.

Barry was a loving husband and father, and he will be missed beyond words.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, October 11, 2024, at the Fort Macleod Community Hall, 301 – 25 Street, Fort Macleod.
