Roland Cotton

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roland Cotton, of the Blood Tribe, on April 10, 2025, while surrounded by family, at the age of 78 years.

Two Wake Services will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, on the Blood Tribe. The first will take place at Holy Ground Ministries (Cotton Residence) from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, followed by the second at Old Agency Hall from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Old Agency Hall, beginning at 12:00 PM.

Following the Funeral Service, Roland will be laid to rest at the Cotton Family Plot - Blood Tribe.

Directions to Holy Ground Ministries from Standoff, Alberta: 

(A) From Standoff, Alberta, head north on Highway 2 for about 0.5 km, then turn right (east) onto Highway 509. (B) Continue driving on Highway 509 for approximately 12 km until you reach the corner of Highway 509 and Highway 511 (a gravel road). (C) Turn left (North) onto Highway 511. (D) Holy Ground Ministries is located at the second house on your left, about 0.5 km down the road.

Directions to Old Agency Hall from Holy Ground Ministries:

From Holy Ground Ministries (Blood Tribe), proceed North on Highway 511 for approximately 13 km. Old Agency Hall will be located on your left.
