Shirley passed away suddenly of health issues at Vista Village in Pincher Creek at the age of 77.
Shirley grew up in Natal/Sparwood, BC. After high school she went off to Nurse Training in Calgary. Pincher Creek being her practicum in her training she met her pre-deceased husband Bob. She worked as a nurse in Pincher Creek until her retirement.
Shirley enjoyed water skiing, bowling, curling and most of all golf. Being a fixture at the Pincher Creek golf course often exceeding 100 rounds of golf per year. In her later years she loved watching old movies on TV.
Shirley is survived by her two children: Deanna and Lance; her four grandchildren: Dane, Dean, David, and Julio; her four great-grandchildren: Emily, Owen, Lyndon and Dayton. Shirley is also survived by her two sisters: Marge (John) Halko and Wendy (Ray) Allen.
She was a dedicated Daughter, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Friend.
There will be a small family gathering. When Covid restrictions allow there will be a Celebration of Life.
