Tamara Lee Kennedy, 62, of Pincher Creek, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025, in her home, surrounded by family. Tammy was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in May of 2025, and battled bravely with the support of her family and friends.
Tammy was born on March 10, 1963, in Deloraine, Manitoba, to Derlene and John Olson. She loved playing fastball and spending time at Lake Metigoshe. Tammy graduated from Assinoboine Community College with a diploma in bookkeeping. She met Dean Kennedy at Lake Metigoshe, and they were married in July 1985, in Deloraine. Together, they followed Dean’s various hockey teams before settling at the KX Ranch in 1995.
Tammy was a devoted wife to her husband, Dean, for 40 years; a loving mother to her children, Matthew (Amy), Logan, and Jayden; and a beloved Koko to her grandchildren, Olivia and John. She was an incredible cook and hostess, and she loved wine, design, reading, and spending time at the lake with her loved ones. Her greatest joy was being a mum and Koko.
Tammy is survived by her husband, Dean; her son, Matthew (Amy); her daughters, Logan and Jayden (Erik); her grandchildren, Olivia and John; her brothers, Mike (Lynn) and Jamie (Tammy); her sister, Donna (Garth); many nieces and nephews; and her mother, Derlene. She was preceded in death by her father, John.
A Memorial Service will be held for Tammy on Thursday, December 4th, at 2:00 P.M. at the Pincher Creek Community Hall, 287 Canyon Dr., Pincher Creek, AB.
In lieu of flowers, Tammy requested that donations be made to the Windy Slopes Health Foundation in Pincher Creek, 1222 Bev McLachlin Dr., Pincher Creek.
