It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our mom, Trudy Maxine Bohnet on Monday, July 1, 2024, at the age of 69 in Lethbridge. She is survived by her daughter Alzena (John) Penner of Coaldale and her son Jason Bohnet of Fort Macleod, along with her grandchildren Brad (Christina) Westerhoud, Jeff (Alyssa) Westerhoud, Dustin (Miriam) Penner, Delwin (Andie) Penner, and Mary Bohnet. Trudy was extremely proud to call herself great -grandma to five great-grandchildren.
She also leaves behind her brothers Jim and Bill, her twin sister Judy and numerous family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Paddy (Patrick) & Mary Jenkins, the father of her children Victor, and her sisters Margaret, and Roxanne.
Trudy loved to brag about her kids, and grandkids. She enjoyed traveling and wanted to go everywhere. Her trip to Arizona was her first plane ride, she was so excited to be on that plane; it was one of the happiest moments in her life. She spoke often of her travels to Wyoming to see Old Faithful, and Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, and the girls shopping trips we took to Great Falls and Calgary - she loved to shop. She purchased her first car and loved to be the passenger princess. Buying her little red car was a huge accomplishment for her, and it gave her the freedom she always wanted.
She was such a strong-willed person and fought through many obstacles in the last few months of her life. We would like to thank the staff at Buffalo Grace Manor for the care and kindness they showed taking care of our Mom.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
