Wayne Melnychuk

  Wayne Melnychuk of Coaldale, Alberta, beloved husband of the late Wanda Melnychuk, passed away on September 4th, 2020, peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 61.

  Wayne is survived by his two sons; Michael and Matthew, his sister Robin, and two brothers; Terry (Bernardita) and Ken (Darlene), as well as numerous special nieces, nephews, and their families. Besides his loving wife, Wayne was predeceased by his parents; Mike and Helen Melnychuk,    father-in-law Frank Janzen, sister-in-law Kathy Sawka, and brother-in-law John Sawka.

  Wayne was born November 15, 1958 in Theodore, Sask. He was an avid outdoorsman and a man of many interests, talents, and skills including woodworking, gardening, and telling the best dad jokes. Along with his family, he will also be remembered and missed by his fishing and hunting buddies, numerous lifelong friends, co-workers, and special health care providers. 

  We would like to express our deepest appreciation to Dr. Imbulgoda and the caring nurses at the Jack Ady Cancer Centre, and our sincerest gratitude to Tamara along with her Home Care team for  the professional care and attention they so kindly provided that enabled us to honor Wayne’s wish to stay at home during his final days.  

A private Graveside Service was held at the Vauxhall Cemetery with Pastor Elroy Senneker officiating.
