Wendy Ann Smith, of Fort Macleod, Alberta, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023, at the age of 58 years.
Left to mourn are her Husband Dan, Son Adam and beloved pet Porky; Granddaughters Amelia and Avianna; Brothers Wayne (Denise) Davis, Bernie (Karen) Davis, and Johnny Davis; Mother-in-law Joanne O'Sullivan; Sister-in-law Cathy (Lorne) Weiss; Brothers-in-law Johnny (Lonnie) Yorgason, Barry Yorgason; Nieces Angela (Joel) Weiss, Megan Yorgason, Natasha (Austin) Hurlburt, Alicia (Paul) Davis; Nephews Jamie (Cindy) Weiss, Josh Davis, Nick (Chelsea) Yorgason; as well as many Great Nieces and Nephews.
Wendy was born on January 31, 1965 in Calgary, where she later moved to Fort Macleod and married Dan on May 4, 1985.
Wendy loved to ride her Harley Davidson any chance she could get, she was always the happiest on her bike. Wendy spent a lot of years playing competitive wheelchair basketball where she played all across Canada, winning multiple championships with her team.
Wendy was a proud Mother, Grandmother and Wife, spending time with her family she enjoyed playing card games, doing arts and crafts, and spending time outside with everyone and her beautiful flower garden.
Wendy was always so kind and welcoming, loved having friends and family over for visits. Wendy fought a hard battle with illness and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life was held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at the Trinity United Church, Fort Macleod.
