William "Bill" McLeod

William “Bill” McLeod passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, in Pincher Creek, Alberta, at the age of 83.

Bill was born and raised in the Pincher Creek area and was beloved by all who knew him. He was involved in community events, local sports, and the Legion. Although his days were full, he always had time to say hello, shake your hand and flash a smile. If you looked in the dictionary for the definition of a good man, you would find his name.

We will miss his “dad jokes”, completing weekend crosswords, his chicken soup with dumplings, turkey stuffing, and meat draws at the Legion. He was knowledgeable about many things and always had words of wisdom to share during our family conversations.

Bill is forever loved and remembered by his wife, Tillie; children, Kathie, Betty Anne, Branda, Randy (Rose), Jackie, Debbie, and Ken (Cherity); grandchildren, Joey (Nicole), Mattie (Chris), Alex (Megan) Calvin (Madison), Diann, Connor (Noema), Hailey, Eric, and Anna; great-grandchildren, Harper, William, Marley, Griffin, Ryan, Dawson, and Cameron; sister, Joyce; sisters-in-law, Annette McKenzie, Vi Leer, Loretta Leer, Jeanette Leer; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Bill was predeceased by his parents, Wilson and Elizabeth; infant daughter, Janet; brother, Jack; sisters, Patricia, and Bessie; brothers-in-law, Gordon Carlson, Joe Tuza, Ben Leer, Laverne Leer, Ken Leer, John Leer, George McKenzie, and Mel Tippe; sisters-in-law, Marcella McLeod, Judy Leer, and Diann Tippe; nephews, Sonny Leer, Rocky Leer, and Leonard Leer.

A Private Graveside Service was held for family at Fairview Cemetery, Pincher Creek, AB.

A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at a future date.
