Our Story
Edens Funeral Home is based in Fort Macleod and has served southern Alberta for more than fifty years. Frank Eden was running the firm in 1973 when he hired a young funeral director named Dennis Novak; Dennis is still with us, and many of the families he has served, he has served several times over.
Today Edens is a division of The Caring Group Corp. and operates three funeral homes — our main location in Fort Macleod, and Pincher Creek and Coaldale — so that families across southern Alberta have somewhere close to home. Whichever door you come to, the same people look after you.
Our funeral directors grew up in the communities they serve — Kainai and Piikani, the Crowsnest Pass, Coaldale, Pincher Creek — and hold licences in both funeral directing and embalming. We will talk you through every option honestly, including what each one costs, and we answer the phone at every hour.
