September 25, 1943 ~ December 28, 2024 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Weir, the beloved husband of Carolyn Weir, in Fort Macleod, on December 28, 2024, at the age of 81 years. David Rex Weir was born in 1943 to Rex and Viola in Fort Macleod, where he spent his entire life. In 1965, David married the love of his life, Carolyn. Together, they created nearly 60 years of cherished memories and were about to celebrate this remarkable milestone. Dave's life was filled with passions, from his love for horses and cows to his dedication to his community. He spent many years volunteering at the Midnight Stadium, proudly serving as president for several years. For over 30 years, he worked at the auction market, where his commitment and hard work were deeply valued. Above all, Dave's greatest love was his family. He cherished every moment spent with them and found true happiness in the joy and pride they brought to his life. Dave's legacy will live on through his family, friends, and the many lives he touched with his kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion. He will be dearly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved him. Dave is survived by his wife, Carolyn Weir; children, Sheldon Weir (Daurice), Brent Weir, and Mark Weir (Sarah); 7 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
