Larry (Yogi) Provost Iitakiipstskimma, 64, of Lethbridge AB passed away suddenly on August 27, 2026. Born on August 15, 1962, to the late Larry Provost & Evangeline Provost. Larry grew up with his 3 siblings Gary (Buffy), Karen (Wendall) and Juanita.  Throughout his education journey Larry attended numerous schools; St. Mary’s Residential School, Standoff Day School, Fort Macleod Schools and graduated from Kainai High School. He worked numerous jobs throughout his lifetime but was always proud to be a pipe insulator. He loved the profession and enjoyed it for many years.  In the mid 80’s he met the love of his life Deliah Joy Cochrane who sadly passed away August 6, 2023. Together they raised 4 children. Ashton (Jacob), Randi, James (Lance), and Ariel. He was a proud and loving Papa to Landon, Lola, Angel, Carson, Kelly, Mason, Jake, Annabella, Keanu, Amethyst and Caleb. And his Great Granddaughter Desirae Marie Joy. Throughout Larry’s life he had many hobbies and talents. As a child Larry would be known as a “Kipitaipokaa” as he was raised by his Grandpa Louis. He could always be found outside working on the ranch. Enjoying his time with the horses, cows, sheep and pigs. He would often tell stories of his special pig named “Trouble”. In his early years Larry played hockey with his brother Gary and childhood friends. Into his late teens and early 20’s Larry was an avid bull rider and steer rider. Where he dominated the IRCA alongside his childhood friends Harley and Alfred. The highlight of his rodeo career was when he was piled off Hostage at the Whoop-Up Days rodeo. Hostage hooked Larry from behind sending him in an end for end loop across the arena. He luckily remained unharmed. The footage was captured and showcased on the cover of the Lethbridge Herald. He also played with the slow-pitch team the LA Arrows which consisted of family and friends that later became family. There were numerous memories made throughout the years. In his later years Larry dedicated his life to his grandchildren whom he loved more than anything. He could always be found busy doing something whether it was cooking a meal, changing a diaper, going for a walk, going to the park, at the rink watching hockey, his favorite was just watching his hockey grandsons shooting the puck around the backyard. He always had extra pointers to share with his boys. Just before his passing Larry learned how to make medicine pouches and made many for his family members. Larry was Uncle to all his nieces and nephews and Papa to his great nieces and nephews. He held a special bond with his niece Audra as him and Deliah babysat her before they had children. She was their first baby, and she would call Deliah her “honey” because she would hear Larry call Deliah his honey. He was predeceased in death by his Honey Deliah, his father Larry Provost, his Paternal grandparents James and Esther Provost, his Maternal grandparents Louis and Louise Knife,  his nephew Dwight, his sons in law Lane and Patrick, and numerous uncles, aunts, and extended family and friends.  He is survived by his big family, his mother Evangeline, his siblings Gary (Buffy), Karen (Wendall) and Juanita.
