With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rose Marie Chevrefils, beloved wife of the late Robert Broadfoot, who passed away at the Fort Macleod Hospital with her family by her side, on August 8, 2026, at the age of 74 years.
She was the loving and most caring mother to Marie-Anne Chevrefils of Fort Macleod and Joanne (Pierre) Sabourin of St. Jean, Manitoba. She was a devoted grandma to grandson Nicholas (Breanna) and loving Mémé to Alain and Cody. She is also survived by her sisters, Jeannette St. Godard and Irene (Jacques) Delorme. Rose was predeceased by her faithful husband Robert (Bob); her parents, Etienne and Beatrice Chevrefils; her siblings, Yvonne Desmarais, Marie-Ange Bouchard, and Wilfred Chevrefils.
Born in Pine Falls, Manitoba on September 17, 1951, Ti-Rose was raised in St. George, Manitoba. She was the 5th born of 6 children. She grew up on the family farm working diligently alongside her father, working the fields, pitching bales and milking the cows, to name a few of the many chores. She also inherited her mother’s amazing skills to work magic in the kitchen. Her dedication and strong work ethic were hard to beat. When not working, Rose enjoyed playing baseball, winning bucksaw competitions, snowmobiling with cousins, and having a good time with family and friends!
Rose met the love of her life, Bob in Pine Falls, Manitoba, and together they raised two beautiful daughters. The family moved to Alberta in March of 1978 and finally settled in Fort Macleod in 1990. Here Rose found her passion for nursing and caring for the elderly. No one had a bigger heart than her. Her most important passion was her family. For the better part of her life, she devoted herself to being a loving mother to her girls. She loved her grandchildren immensely and was so very proud of them.
Rose will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends. The family wishes to thank everyone who made Rose’s final few days comfortable, Fort Macleod paramedics, Dr. Strank, and Dr. Ifebuzor.
There will be a private family service held at a later date.
