On February 12, 2021, Marion passed away peacefully in her home with her husband (Rick), daughter (Sandra), and son (Byron) by her side.
Marion was born in North Battleford on February 12, 1942. She married Rick Wilkins on July 28, 1973. They lived in North Battleford for most of their years. They made a few more moves and retired in Coaldale, Alberta.
Marion enjoyed camping. Her and Rick made many friends on their camping adventures, then years later they were able to spend winters in Yuma. Marion enjoyed being the lunch supervisor at a few schools. She was well loved at the Bready Elementary School where she started the lunch program and many schools followed. She had a real connection with all kids, young and old.
Marion loved life, she enjoyed spending time with kids, grandchildren, and her 3 little great-grandkids. She became ill 4 years ago and decided that she needed to fulfill some dreams. Marion went to Hawaii with her son & family, and her and Rick went on an Alaskan cruise. The cruise, she said, was the best thing ever. She went all out on this cruise, and they had also done a Bahama cruise years prior. Marion knew exactly what she wanted in life and enjoyed it until the end. She was a very strong woman and loved by all. Her love of dogs showed as she always had a dog by her side.
On February 11, 2021, Marion said to Sandra & Byron, “I entered this world on February 12th, I am going to leave peacefully the same day”, and she did just that.
The world lost a true sparkle, and that was Marion.
Marion was predeceased by her parents; Mary (Keller) and John Dick, her 2 brothers; Mervin Dick, Jack Dick, and 2 nieces; Susan Dick, Shelly Dick.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Rick, 3 children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; Sandra (Monty) Berger, their daughters; Ashley (Josh) Ray and children Phoenix & Chanel, and Sara (Brian) Bauche and child Vetra, Jayleen (Patrick) Guedo, their sons; Dean (Andrea) Guedo and child Rory, and Devin Guedo, Byron (Christina) Wilkins, their children; Mackenzie Wilkins, Benjamin Wilkins, and Joshua Wilkins. Also left to cherish her memory is her sister Annette (Mike) Armstrong, 2 brothers; Ronald (Sharon) Dick, Ernest (Shirley) Dick, and sister-in-law Diane Dick.
